solitaire...

u know that pre-installed game in ur computer that u never play unless u seriously got nothing to do but past the time? probably to past time before ur next class or during class itself? well, its exactly why its named that. solitaire...a word which i can relate with the other word 'solitude'...alone

consider this scenario. isolate two men in two seperate rooms for 2 weeks (of course providing food and water daily). no human contact for 2 weeks. then, introduce another human being (plausibly female) into the first room for a following 2 weeks. Which of the two men would better survive the isolation period? (oh!oh! i know this one! erm...) well, definitely not the second room am i right? he'd probably be screaming 'LEMME OUTTA HERE! i cant take it no more' before u can say 'heebe jeebies! wats wrong with u, u twisted evil genius?'

nothing really, its juz that i wanna prove a point. Man cannot live alone...(when i say man i mean individual human beings. i apologise for any sexual discriminative remarks made) we simply juz cant. why? because we were made from an image of something else (only those who've read Genesis would know wat i mean). because we try to occupy ourselves with needless materials to perfect our living. because we lack a part of our soul that makes us whole. and so we search. we seek for that one thing that can satisfy our hunger for closeness, relation, and recognition.

every1 has this need. and for the fortunate few, their needs are met. man has woman. children have their mothers. servants have their masters. priests, monks, ulamas (and what not) have God. but not every1's as lucky...notice the beggar on the street? the old man sitting alone in the corner of the LRT. the abandoned child weeping in the grocery store. the forsakened with no name to claim their grave. to these individuals i pay tribute to u, for all we ask for is to be loved.

- till the next -
